Eloquent Protest

Remembrance Sunday, 12th November 3.00 pm
For many years some of the greatest writers, musicians and poets have raised their voice in protest at the carnage and waste of war. From Hardy and Owen to Mitchell (Vietnam), Harsent (Bosnia) and a whole generation of new Iraqi poets. Eminent writers have added their voices to those of innocent civilians like Anne Frank and the children of TerezĂn who yearned for a peaceful world through their art and writing.
At the Trafalgar Studios 2 (previously the Whitehall Theatre), in London's West End, former MP and veteran anti-war campaigner Tony Benn will host an afternoon of readings and music by special guest which explore the power of words against war. Guests include: Roy Bailey, Julia Watson, Janie Dee, Noreen Kershaw and Rupert Wickham (with others to be confirmed).
This production is organised by the Feelgood Theatre and sponsored by The Stage Door Foundation.
