Join the WPA

Membership of the War Poets Association will include a subscription to its journal, War Poetry Review, and discounts for WPA events and some of those arranged by other societies or groups.

Membership

Membership of the War Poets Association costs £15.00 p.a. or £150.00 for life, with reductions to £10.00 p.a. or £100.00 respectively for concessions, including over 60s, students, and the disabled. Subscriptions should be paid in GB Pounds (Sterling), including those sent via PayPal (see below). You may pay online via PayPal (use the links at the foot of this page) or download and print out a membership form in PDF format and post the completed form, with your cheque, to the WPA Treasurer, to whom any enquiries should also be sent. Membership includes a subscription to the Association's journal, War Poetry Review, and discounts for WPA events and some of those arranged by other societies or groups.

Subscriptions may be paid in UK Pounds, US Dollars or Euros. Current rates are £15, US$28, or 25 Euros per annum, or £150, US$275 or 230 Euros for life membership, with lower rates for usual concessions (e.g. full time students, unemployed, retired, aged over 60, or disabled). These concessionary rates are £10, US$20 or 15 Euros per annum, or £100, US$190 or 150 Euros for life membership.

In 2007 the WPA's Board decided that annual subscriptions should run from 11 November in one year to 10 November of the following year. Subscriptions received after 11 August in any year will be deemed to include membership until 10 November of the following year.

WPA membership fees are treated as donations for Gift Aid. Gift Aid is worth an extra 25% to the WPA if you pay tax in the UK. Those who pay UK tax at 40% or 45% can also save personal tax via their tax return.

Payments can be made by credit or debit card, via Paypal.

If you use an Internet Banking Service payment may be made electronically to the Association's bank account, name:'War Poets Association Ltd'. Please e-mail treasurer@warpoets.org for the UK Bank Sort Code and account numbers. When paying via this method please give your name as the 'reference' so that your payment can be identified.
