The War Poets Association, a UK registered charity, was launched in Paris in July 2004. It aims to promote interest in the work, life and historical context of poets whose subject is the experience of war.

Isaac Rosenberg

The War Poets Association and The British Library will offer an evening talk, discussion and poetry reading at the British Library Lecture Theatre at St Pancras (Next door to the new London Eurostar Terminus) to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the death of the poet and writer Isaac Rosenberg, killed in action at the Western Front on 1 April 1918. The speakers will be Jean Liddiard - whose book of previously-unpublished letters by Rosenberg discovered at the British Library, Poetry Out of My Head and Heart , was published by Enitharmon earlier this year -  and Dr Vivien Noakes, whose The Poems and Plays of Isaac Rosenberg: A Critical Edition was published in 2004. Tickets at £6 (£4 for WPA members) will be available from the British Library's Box Office shortly. Further details will be announced as soon as possible.
